Discover the top 10 darkest moments in children's animation that will leave you shocked!

1.In Pinocchio, when the boys were turned into donkeys

This particular scene left a profound impact, as it delved into deeply unsettling territory. The collective wails for their mothers echoed, intensifying the sense of dread and fear. It was a truly haunting moment that lingered long after the screen faded to black.

2.When Belle found herself falling in love with the Beast, despite his role as her captor, in Beauty and the Beast.

"La Bella y la Bestia siempre me dejó con sentimientos encontrados. Cuando era niño, la adoraba y siempre me identifiqué con Bella. Pero después, ya tenía unos veinte años, estuve en una relación abusiva durante un año. Ahora, cuando veo la película, me molesta cómo enseña a las jóvenes, incluyéndome a mí, que las mujeres pueden cambiar a los hombres si las aman lo suficiente."

3.Also in Beauty and the Beast, when Gaston fell violently and died after fighting the Beast.

Gaston's death by falling really affected me as a kid. Although his character was never one of my favorites, it was a dark moment that left a lasting impression on me."

4.In Tarzan , when Clayton accidentally hanged himself while entangled in the vines.

I wasn't particularly fond of it, but the expression on his face and the sheer accidental nature of his hanging added an incredibly dark layer to the scene. It was a moment that resonated with a haunting intensity, leaving a lasting impression on me.

5.In Big Hero 6 , when Tadashi surprisingly died at the beginning of the movie.

This will always be my favorite movie, but this moment broke my heart. There was absolutely no reason to kill him. He was an incredibly loving brother, who wanted to help people and had great character development potential.

6.When Tiger Lily and her family sang "What Makes a Red Man Red?" in Peter Pan.

Recently, I rewatched this movie with my younger sister, and the blatant racism was shocking. I had completely forgotten about this part of the film. It's alarming how such outdated and offensive stereotypes were once accepted in mainstream media, and revisiting them now is a stark reminder of the need for greater awareness and sensitivity in our storytelling.

7.When the Prince found Snow White's corpse apparently and decided to kiss her in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs .

The Prince kissed a girl who was supposedly dead! It felt really weird to watch, and then, when you realize that Snow White was only 14 and he was 31. Sketchy.

8.Also in Snow White , when she accepted an apple from a complete stranger even though she knew the queen was trying to kill her.

The part that really got on my nerves was when Snow White accepted the apple from a random strange woman when she knew the queen was trying to kill her. Who does that?

9.In Pocahontas , when Governor Ratcliffe and the colonists sang "Savages" about the Native Americans.

One line of the song literally says: 'savages, savages, barely even human.' I get the premise of the movie, and I understand that it was made a while ago, but I think it was a bit intense for a children's movie.

10.In Dumbo, when his mother was taken from him.

I hated the scene in Dumbo where they took away his mother from Dumbo after she tried to protect him. It always hurt to watch.
